Description

BWR means Boiling Water Resistant, Commonly known as water proof plywood. This grade of material can be used in places where there is high moisture content and some water presence, but not preferred for exterior purpose. It is the preferably for making those pieces of furniture that are likely to get little wet like Kitchen cabinets and other Kitchen furniture. Specification for BWR Grade as per Indian Standard is IS: 303. NOTE: Different colored plywood does not differentiate the grading of plywood, it’s only the glue which makes difference. People get misguided here. They think if plywood is dark green in color, it is water proof. But in reality, it is made dark because it shouldn’t get mixed with Moisture resistant lot and people take advantage of this and started fooling customer by coloring it green and selling it as BWR.
